I have a few corks. Where can I drop them off?

If you have a small amount of cork, please use our interactive map to find a Public Collection Partner near you.

We recommend calling ahead to confirm the location is actively accepting cork.

I have lots of cork. Can I ship it directly to you?

We are happy to receive corks directly from individuals, but please only do so if you have 15lbs or more (that's around 1250 corks) as this is the threshold for environmentally efficient shipments.

Please do not send corks to us in small individual shipments; instead, drop your corks off at a Public Collection Partner or encourage your friends to save their corks until you reach 15 pounds. Then reach out to corksupport@recork.com for details on how to ship us your corks. Please note: The cost of shipping is the responsibility of the sender.

What if there are no partners in my area?

If there are no drop-off locations in your area, we encourage you to suggest the ReCORK program to local establishments such as liquor stores, wineries, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, or other community-focused businesses.

What types of corks do you accept?

We only accept natural corks, not synthetic "fake" corks. We accept most types of natural corks.

How does the cork shipping process work?

Partners ship their corks directly to a ReCORK processing facility. Canadian shipments are sent to Calgary, AB. US shipments are sent to Napa, CA.

We only accept shipments above 15lbs. Please note: recycling partners are responsible for covering the cost of shipping. Shipments of 15-30lbs are the most economically and environmentally efficient.

Please send your corks in any large cardboard box.

I'm ready to ship my corks, what's next?

Once you've collected a minimum of 15 lbs of natural cork, generate an address label through your partner account.

To generate your address label:
1. Log in to your ReCORK Partner account.
2. Navigate to the "Cork Shipments" section.
3. Click "Ready to Ship."
4. Complete the required fields.
5. Click "Submit Shipment."
6. Your shipping label will download to your computer.

Pack your corks in any large cardboard box, attach the address label and arrange shipment with your preferred carrier. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the sender.

For economic and environmental efficiency, shipments between 15-30 lbs are recommended.

Please generate a new label for each shipment and do not reuse old labels.

Should I join as a Private or Public location?

Whether you sign up as a Public or Private Partner depends on how you'd like to participate.

Public Partners are listed as drop-off locations where members of the public can bring their corks. Many businesses choose this option to increase foot traffic, build local visibility, and strengthen community connections. Even in areas with existing locations, additional Public Partners are welcome. More sites provide greater convenience and create additional opportunities for community engagement.

Private Partners participate in the program but are not listed as public drop-off locations. This option works well for teams collecting cork internally or within a closed network.

Does it cost anything?

There is no cost to register as a ReCORK recycling partner. The cost involved would be shipping the corks you collect to us.
